VACANCIES ANNOUNCEMENT
The Public Service Recruitment Secretariat was established in accordance with section
No.29 (1) of the Public Service (Amendment) Act No.18 of 2007. One of the main
functions of this organ is to advertise vacant posts occurring in the Public Service and
conduct recruitment process.
On behalf of the Ministry of Education and Vocation Training (The Tanzania Commission
for Universities - TCU), the Public Service Recruitment Secretariat invites qualified
Tanzanians to fill vacant posts as shown below.
1.0 THE TANZANIA COMMISSION FOR UNIVERSITIES (TCU)
The Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) is a Government agency responsible for
the regulation, promotion and quality assurance of universities, their programmes, staff,
students and awards. The Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) was established
on 1st July2005, under the Universities Act No. 7 of 2005 (Chapter 346 of the Laws of
Tanzania) to succeed the former Higher Education Accreditation Council which had been
in operation since 1995.

1.1.1 REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS AND DOCUMENTATION
1.1.2 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To process admission through Central Admission System (CAS) and Verify lists of
selected applicants into higher education institutions according to set criteria;
To address queries and guide applicants with formalities related to admission into
